The office we use is Flat No. 259 in the Paschim Puri area of Paschim Vihar. It is more of a residential-feeling spot than a big corporate tower, which is actually kind of nice. New Delhi-63 is a busy zip code, but our specific pocket stays relatively quiet during the middle of the day. Inside, we have our computers set up and shelves filled with various binders and documents. We do a lot of the back-end work here, things that people don't really see but that keep everything moving. The stairs leading up to the flat are a bit narrow, and we have to be careful when we are carrying boxes of paper up. There is a small balcony where a couple of us stand sometimes just to get a bit of fresh air and watch the cars go by on the street below. We don't have a big cafeteria, so we usually just go to the local stalls nearby if we want a snack. The routine stays pretty much the same from Monday to Friday. We come in, check the logs, and start working through the pile of tasks. It is not a glamorous setup, but it is practical and gets the job done without much fuss. Sometimes the neighbor's dog barks when the mail arrives, which usually makes everyone jump a little. It feels more like a small community than a giant company when you are working out of a flat like this.
