American Express India Pvt. Ltd. As A Customer Care Executive

I am sitting here at A-43/5 in DLF City Phase-1, just a normal day at the desk for us customer care folks at American Express. It is Gurgaon, so the weather is usually either too hot or just plain dusty outside, but we stay busy inside with the phone lines. We aren't a big flashy headquarters, just people working through accounts and helping folks who call in with their card problems. Sometimes the air conditioning makes a weird hum, but you get used to it after a while. Most of us have been around here long enough to know the local tea stall guy by name. He brings us chai when the shift gets long. The office is tucked away in a spot that feels a bit more like a neighborhood than a corporate park, which is nice because it doesn't feel so stiff. We handle a lot of calls every day. Some people are frustrated, some are nice, and we just try to get through the queue one by one. There is a lot of paperwork too, more than you would think for a digital company. We use these old desks that have seen better days, but they work fine for what we need. Life here is mostly about checking details and making sure the numbers match up at the end of the day. It is honest work, nothing too fancy, just staying on top of things for the people who rely on these cards for their daily lives.
