Ambay Tools & Hardware

Our shop, Ambay Tools & Hardware, is situated right on M G Road in Sikander Pur. It’s a busy area with a lot of traffic going past all the time. We spend most of the day handling hammers, wrenches, and all the various hardware bits that people need for their houses or jobs. It stays pretty loud outside because of the main road, but inside it’s just the sound of metal clicking and boxes being moved around. We’ve got shelves reaching up to the ceiling. Half the time we have to use a wooden ladder just to find a specific screw or a bracket. It’s not a polished showroom or anything like that. It’s a real hardware store where things are stacked where they fit. We know most of the regulars who come in from the Sikander Pur neighborhood. They usually just ask for what they need and we go find it in the piles. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the front for a bit, which is a real hassle for the neighbors, but we manage. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing paperwork if we can help it. Usually, we are just busy organizing the stock or talking to someone about a plumbing fix they are trying to do at home. It’s a simple setup. Just a local spot for tools on a very busy street where the sun hits the front window every afternoon.
