Our office is tucked away in Darjeeling, right above the D.R.C Godown. If you are looking for us, we are near Queen's Hill School. It’s a new building, number 3, and we are in Flat No-1. Being up here in the hills means the weather changes every few minutes. One moment it’s clear and you can see the valley, and the next, the fog rolls in and you can’t see the school across the way. We handle a lot of different things here for the hospitality side of the business. It’s not a big corporate office with glass walls; it’s a flat where we sit with our computers and phones. The sound of the kids from the school nearby is something we hear every day during their break times. Working in Darjeeling has its own pace. Things don’t always move as fast as they do in the big cities down in the plains. We spend our time coordinating stuff and making sure everything is ready for the season. Sometimes the internet is slow or the power goes out, but that’s just part of living in 734101. We’ve been in this building for a bit now and the neighbors are mostly quiet. We just go about our work, drink a lot of tea, and try to keep everything organized. It’s a practical space for us to get things done without too much fuss or distraction from the outside world.
