Alcatel-Lucent India Limited

We have been over here on Gauhar Ali Khan street in Afzalgarh for a good while now. Most people know that this part of District Bijnor is usually pretty quiet compared to the bigger cities nearby, but we stay quite busy with the daily work we do for Alcatel-Lucent India Limited. It is a lot of technical stuff, mostly dealing with the phone lines and internet connections that keep the local area running. We do not have a big fancy lobby with marble floors or anything like that. It is just a regular office where we come in every morning, have some tea, and get straight to work. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow or the rainy weather makes things difficult with the outdoor equipment, but we manage to get through it. People occasionally stop by to ask questions about their services or just to see what is going on. It is mostly just us handling the day-to-day operations and making sure the gear is doing what it is supposed to do. Being out here in Bijnor means we know our neighbors and the guys at the small tea stall just down the road. It is not like those cold corporate offices in Delhi where nobody knows your name. We are just one small part of a much bigger company, but we take care of our local patch. Some days are long, especially when there is a major problem with the lines, but that is just how it goes.
