Our travel office is located at B-185 in Ashok Vihar, Delhi. We have been in this neighborhood for a long time. It is a quiet street and we have a small sign above the door so people can find us. Inside, we have a few desks and a lot of maps and travel books scattered around. We spend our days looking at flight schedules and trying to figure out the best routes for families who want to go on vacation. It is just a small team of us. We do not have a fancy website with all the bells and whistles. Most people just call us or walk in after hearing about us from their friends. We have an old sofa where people sit while we check the prices on the computer. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to wait, so we make some tea for the customers. It is a lot of detail work, like making sure the names on the tickets are spelled exactly right. We handle everything from train bookings to hotel stays. It gets quite hectic when the school holidays are coming up and everyone wants to go away at the same time. We just keep our heads down and try to get all the bookings done before the day ends. It is a nice local business and we enjoy talking to everyone about their plans.
