If you’re ever walking down Railway Road in Batala, you’ll find us at the Sarpanch Toka Building. We’re up on the first floor. Semics Infrastructure Private Limited is basically just a group of us who handle various infrastructure tasks around Gurdaspur and the surrounding towns. The office isn't anything special to look at, just some desks, old chairs, and a lot of files that seem to multiply when we aren't looking. Batala is a busy place, especially around the railway area, so there’s always a lot of noise from the street coming through the windows. We’ve got a good view of the traffic though. People come in to talk about roads or building foundations, and we usually have a pot of tea going. It gets dusty, especially with all the work happening around Punjab, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t really go in for big speeches or polished presentations. We’d rather just show someone a drawing or walk them through a site plan. The building itself has been around for a while, and everyone in the area knows it. It feels right being in an older part of town where things are still real. We just keep our heads down, do the work, and try to make sure everything we build is solid enough to stay standing long after we're gone. It’s a lot of long days, but we manage just fine through the seasons.
