Awankha is a quiet place and we’ve been running Mba from here for quite a bit. Being in the Gurdaspur district means things move at a different pace than the big cities. We’re located over near Jaswant Kumar’s place. It’s a simple setup, nothing that would catch your eye from the road. Most days are pretty much the same, starting with the morning mist over the fields. We don’t really do much in the way of advertising because everybody in the village knows who we are and where to find us. The pin code is 143531 if you’re looking at a map, though the maps don’t always show the small turns correctly. Our office space is basic. We keep it clean and organized as much as we can, but papers do tend to pile up during the busy months. Punjab gets really cold in the winter, so we usually have some tea going to keep warm while we work. It’s a family-run kind of atmosphere here. People stop by just to say hello sometimes or ask about the local news. We don't have any big corporate goals, we just want to keep things moving along steadily. It’s a long way from the busy markets of the town center but that suits us just fine. Life is simpler here in the village and our work reflects that. We just show up and do what needs doing everyday, without making a big fuss about anything.
