Defence Service

Up here in Pathankot, things can get pretty cold in the winter months, but we stay busy at the Air Force Station. We go by the name Defence Service, and our office is right under the CEO area. It is a straightforward place. We deal with whatever services are required on the base. Most of our days are spent coordinating things and making sure the station has what it needs. We aren't interested in being a big name or anything. We just like being useful to the folks who are stationed here in Punjab. The 145001 area is where we live and work, so we know the local spots well. It is a different kind of life compared to the big cities, much more focused on the task at hand. We have some good people here who have been around for years. We don't have a mission statement or a bunch of goals written on the wall. We just look at what needs to be fixed or organized each morning and we get to it. Sometimes the rain makes things a bit muddy around the station, but that is just how it is. We keep our boots clean and our files in order. It is basic, honest work that keeps us on our toes. We don't see any reason to change how we do things. It works for the station and it works for us. That is the way we run things.
