We’ve been working out of Unit No.16 for a while now. It's inside the Bsd Sri Dhanalakshmi Cold Storage. If you know the Lalupuram Link Road, you probably know where the Mirchi Yard is. We’re right near that. It gets pretty busy around here, especially in the mornings when the trucks start rolling in. The smell of dried chillies is everywhere. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a practical space where we handle our spices. Some days are loud, and some are quiet, but there’s always something to move around. We spend a lot of time checking bags and making sure everything is where it should be. The cold storage keeps things right, which is the main thing we need. People often stop by because they’re already in the area for the yard. We’ve grown used to the dust and the noise of the traffic outside. It’s just how it is here. Most of us have been here long enough that the staff at the gate know us by name. It’s a decent spot for what we do. Nothing more, nothing less. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. The location makes sense for us because of the proximity to the market. You get used to the pace after a couple of weeks. It’s a local operation, and we like that it feels connected to the neighborhood and the traders nearby.
