Sripal Spices

We are Sripal Spices, based out of Solanki Niwas in the Chowtra area. Our door number is 20-01-14, which can be a little confusing for people who aren't from around here. The smell is the best way to find us, honestly. As soon as you get close to the building, you can smell the different peppers and seeds we're working with. It gets into your clothes and stays there all day. The shop itself is on the ground floor, and we have bags of spices stacked up almost to the ceiling in some corners. It’s a bit of a maze inside. We spend a lot of our time weighing things out on the scales and sealing small packets. We don't have fancy labels or anything, just the basics so people know what's inside. The Chowtra area is quite old, and our building has that traditional look to it. We get a lot of regulars who come in just to buy a small amount of something for their dinner that night. It’s a slow, steady kind of business. We don't use big computers for everything; a lot of it is still written down in notebooks. We know our suppliers well and they know we're picky about what we take. It’s just how we’ve always done things here at Solanki Niwas, and it seems to work out fine for everyone involved. We just keep the spice grinders running and make sure everything is packed up before we close for the evening.
