Sri Venkateswara Rice Mill

We are located at 17-89-23 in Venkata Palem. It's a small place, but we keep busy enough. Sri Venkateswara Rice Mill has been a part of this community for a long time. We mostly just focus on milling the rice for the local farmers. It’s not a fancy operation. We have the machines in the back and a small space in the front where we talk to people. There's always a bit of dust in the air, that's just how a rice mill is. We don't wear uniforms or have big meetings. We just show up, start the engines, and see what needs to be done. Some days are longer than others, especially when the harvest comes in all at once. Then we're working late into the night. My cousin helps out with the books, and we have a few neighbors who come in to help with the bagging. We try to keep everything moving smoothly. If a machine acts up, we fix it ourselves. We don't like to rely on people from outside if we can avoid it. People know us as the place to get their rice processed without any fuss. We don't make big promises. We just do the work and hope the rain comes at the right time for the next crop. It's a decent life here in Venkata Palem. We've seen a lot of changes in the village, but the mill stays pretty much the same. We take pride in being a consistent part of the local economy.
