Satyadeva Genral Merchant

We've been running Satyadeva Genral Merchant for quite a while now here in Ponnur. Our shop sits right on Gvc Road, D.No.3-1-13B to be exact, just a short walk from the old bus stop. It is a busy spot. People are always coming and going from the buses, so we stay on our feet most of the day. We keep the shelves packed with whatever folks usually need for their homes. From soap and cooking oil to small snacks the kids want after school. Sometimes the crates get piled a bit high and the floor gets some dust from the road outside, but that is just how it is when you are working. We open up early because the morning commuters are always in a rush. It can get pretty loud with the traffic noise near the old bus stop, but we are used to it by now. The fan in the corner doesn't always do much against the heat, but we keep going. Dealing with different distributors takes up a lot of my time in the afternoons. I try to make sure we don't run out of the basic things people rely on us for. It's just a regular shop, nothing fancy about it. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their names. If a shipment is late, we just tell the customers to come back tomorrow. It’s a simple way of making a living here in our corner of town.
