Mayuri Home Foods is located over at Flat No. 501 in Sri Sai Homes. It’s right on the 1st Lane in Vidhya Nagar. It’s a bit of a different setup since we operate out of a flat, but it works for us. We started small and honestly, it’s still pretty small. Most of our day is spent in the kitchen or getting things ready for people to pick up. We do things by hand because that’s just how we learned to do it. It gets a bit cramped sometimes when there are a lot of orders, but we make it work. Living and working in Vidhya Nagar is nice because it’s a quiet enough area. We don't have a storefront with big glass windows or anything. People usually just find us through word of mouth or by coming to the flat. It’s a family-run kind of thing. We use the recipes that have been around for a while. Nothing fancy, just the food we know how to make. Sometimes the delivery guys get lost looking for the specific building, but once they find Sri Sai Homes, it’s easy. We aren't trying to change the world or anything like that. We just enjoy making food and seeing people come back for more. It keeps us busy and out of trouble. That’s really all there is to it at 501.
