Balaji Dal Industries

We are based at 83-2 in Naragayapalem. Balaji Dal Industries is a small-scale operation, mostly focused on processing pulses for the local area. It is a quiet spot, but once the machines start up, it gets pretty loud. We spend our days hauling sacks of raw pulses and running them through the sorters. It’s physical work and can be quite tiring, especially when we have a big order to get out. We don't have any corporate structure or fancy titles here. Everyone just chips in with whatever needs doing, whether it’s cleaning the floor or fixing a belt on the machine. The building is just a basic shed with enough room for our equipment. We don't have a mission statement or any of that. We just focus on the dal. Sometimes the dust gets to you, and we have to take breaks outside to get some fresh air. We know the farmers around Naragayapalem who bring their crops to us. It’s a tight-knit community and we like it that way. We don't bother with fancy packaging or big labels. We just provide the product as it is. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes when the market prices fluctuate, but we manage to keep going. We’ve been at this for years, and it’s just our daily routine. No frills, no fuss, just plenty of hard work every day at the mill to keep the business running and the customers satisfied.
