Sri Adi Shiva Sadguru Educational Socity

This society is run from our place at house number 7/243 here in Guntakal. My father, P. Shaikshavali, started getting things organized a while back. We do this because there aren't enough good options for the kids around this part of Andhra Pradesh. It's not a big corporate building. It's just a space where we gather and plan things out. The room stays cool because of the thick walls. We spend a lot of time talking to parents who want better for their children. Sometimes we have meetings late into the evening after everyone finishes their regular jobs. The street outside is mostly quiet, except when the school bell rings nearby. We keep all the records in a big metal cupboard. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes to get everything funded, but we manage somehow. My sister helps with the typing and the filing when she’s home from her own work. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. People just hear about us from their neighbors or friends. We just want to help the local students get ahead in their lives. It’s a lot of paperwork and talking to officials. Some days are frustrating and some days we feel like we are actually getting somewhere. It's just us trying to do something useful for the community here in the 515801 area.
