If you look for House Number 16 in the village of Kurum, that’s where you’ll find us. Dharitri Utpadak Farmers Producer Company Limited is based there, in the Umra and Baghima area of Palkot, Gumla. We are a local group of farmers who decided to team up. Our office isn't anything special—it’s just a room in a house where we keep our ledgers and some basic supplies. We don’t have a big corporate structure or any of those fancy titles. Everyone just chips in and does what needs to be done. Most of our work happens outside, under the sun, rather than behind a desk. Gumla is a quiet place, and our village is even more so. We don't have a marketing department or any glossy brochures to hand out. We just rely on word of mouth and the work we do. Sometimes the crops don't do as well as we hoped, or the weather doesn't cooperate, but we just keep going anyway. It’s the only way to live out here. We don't use big words to describe our goals. We just want to help the farmers in our village get a bit more for their hard work. It’s a tough life sometimes, but being part of this company makes it a little easier to manage things together. If you’re ever passing through Palkot, you’ll see us just doing our daily chores and looking after the business as best as we can.
