Dalmia Computers

Dalmia Computers is over at Shri Krishna Complex on Ranchi Road. We are right opposite the HDFC Bank and very close to the bus stand. It’s a busy spot, which is good because people can just drop in while they are waiting for their bus. The complex is a bit old, and the stairs can be slippery when it rains, so we tell everyone to be careful. Inside the shop, we have counters piled with different parts and cables. It’s not very organized, but we know where everything is. A couple of old fans struggle in the summer heat. You won't find a fancy showroom with glass cases here. Most of our stuff is just kept in the original boxes on the shelves. There are three of us working here. We’ve all been doing this for a long time. Marketing strategies aren't something we spend time on. We just help whoever walks in with a problem. Sometimes it’s a quick fix, and other times we have to keep the machine for a few days. We drink a lot of tea from the shop downstairs. It’s a basic, honest way to make a living. Becoming the biggest computer store in the area isn't the plan. We just want to be the place people think of when they are on Ranchi Road. It’s just us, doing our thing.
