Baptist Higher Primary School And Pu College

Up on Gk Road in Sedam, you’ll find our school and college. It’s a bit of a landmark in this part of Gulbarga. We have been around for long enough that we are now teaching the children of our former students. Having both the primary school and the PU college in the same general area makes things interesting. You have the little ones running around in the morning, and then the older teenagers coming in later, looking a bit more serious about their studies. The building is solid and has that old-school feel to it, with thick walls and high ceilings that keep things a bit cooler during the Gulbarga summers. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here. It’s just rows of benches, blackboards, and a lot of textbooks. The teachers are mostly people from around Sedam who have a real connection to the town. During the breaks, the playground is a bit of a chaotic mess of kids playing different games at the same time. We try to keep things orderly, but with so many students, it's always going to be a bit loud. We focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the college students are ready for their board exams. It’s a very local atmosphere where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We just keep our heads down and do the work of running the place day after day. It’s not glamorous, but it’s an important part of the community here.
