Rishi Bricks

Our address is 3-24-29, Tirumalammapalem, which is over in the Pudiparthi area. Rishi Bricks has been operating from this same spot for a good while. It’s not a fancy office building, just a large yard and a small room where we keep the books. Most of our neighbors are doing similar work or have small farms nearby. When you come visit, you’ll likely see the mounds of earth and the finished bricks stacked up high. We don't really have a set schedule for when things happen; we just work until the light fades. The staff is small, usually just a few family members and a couple of hired hands from the village. We handle all the loading and unloading ourselves. It's a lot of physical labor, but it keeps us busy. We don’t really use fancy terms to describe what we do. We just make bricks and sell them to whoever needs them for their house or a wall. Sometimes it gets really quiet out here, which is nice. We don't have a big sign with lights, just the name written on the wall so people know they’ve found the right place. Most of our customers are locals who have known us for years. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the yard stays as tidy as a brickyard can be. It is a simple life and we enjoy the quiet.
