Kasthuri Hand Bricks Manufacturing Company is located in Vakadu Village. We come under the Mangalam Post area. Like the name says, we do almost everything by hand here. It is a traditional way of making bricks that we have stuck with because it works. It involves a lot of mud, water, and very hard work under the hot sun. We don't have those big, expensive automated machines that the massive factories use. Instead, we have a small team of local people who know how to mold the clay just right by feel. The village is a quiet place, and our yard fits right in with the surroundings. You will see rows and rows of bricks drying out in the open air. We have to watch the clouds constantly because a sudden rain shower can ruin a whole day's hard work in minutes. It is a bit stressful during the monsoon months, but we always make do. We don't have a website or any social media. People just know where we are located in Vakadu and come by when they are starting to build something new. We keep all our records in a simple notebook. It is the kind of business where a handshake still means something. We have been here for a long time and our bricks have gone into many of the houses nearby.
