Vikky Communication Centre

If you go down to the Fountain Chowk in Surajpur village, you will find our small shop. Vikky Communication Centre has been sitting here for quite some time. It’s a noisy spot with all the traffic coming through the chowk. We do a bit of everything, from mobile recharges to helping people figure out why their phones aren't making calls. Sometimes the network is bad in the village, so people come in frustrated. We just try to help them out. The counter is usually covered in SIM card packets and old chargers. It’s a local place where neighbors stop by just to chat even if they don't need anything. We don't have fancy air conditioning or bright lights. It’s just a basic room with what we need to get the job done. Sometimes we fix a screen, or sometimes we just explain how to use a new app. The dust from the road gets inside every day, so we are always wiping things down. It feels like everyone knows everyone around here. When the power goes out, which happens, we just sit outside on the stools until it comes back. It’s not a big business, but it's ours and it’s right in the heart of Surajpur. We've seen kids grow up and buy their first phones here. It's just a regular part of the village life. We don't have a website or anything like that, just our presence here at the fountain chowk where people know us. We are open most days except for major festivals.
