Travinfo India

We have been operating out of Beta 2 H/90 for a while now. Travinfo India is basically just a room with a few computers and a lot of printed out travel itineraries. The air conditioner hums loudly in the corner, and we usually have a map pinned to the wall that is starting to curl at the edges. We don't do anything fancy here. People come in or call us because they want to go somewhere, and we help them figure out the best way to get there without spending a fortune. It’s a lot of staring at screens and waiting for pages to load. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we just sit there talking about places we’d like to visit ourselves one day. Most of our day is spent looking at hotel photos and train timings. It’s not a glamorous job, but it is interesting to see where everyone is headed. The neighborhood around Beta 2 is quiet enough, though the parking can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We keep a stack of old travel magazines for people to look at, though they are mostly out of date by now. We aren't trying to be the biggest agency around. We just like helping people sort out their trips so they don't have to worry about the details too much. It gets a bit repetitive looking at fares all day, but when someone comes back with a good story about their trip, it makes the desk work feel a bit more worth it.
