We are located on Theing Road. It’s a busy stretch of road, and you can’t really miss us if you’re driving by. The Cremica Group has grown a lot over the years, but when you are here on the ground, it still feels like a regular place of work. We have a lot of people coming in for different shifts, so there is always someone around, day or night. The smell of baking and food processing is always in the air. It’s a big site with a lot of moving parts, from the mixing vats to the packaging lines. We have a canteen where everyone grabs a bite, and that’s where you hear the real news about what’s happening in the factory. It’s not a polished corporate office with glass walls; it’s a place where things get made. We deal with a lot of paperwork because of all the regulations, but at the end of the day, it’s about the food. Theing Road can get quite congested with all the supply trucks, so we spend a lot of time managing the gate. We don't use those mission statements you see in brochures. We just want to make sure the biscuits and sauces are packed right and leave on time. Every day has its own set of problems, like a machine breaking down or a delivery being late, but we just deal with it and move on. It is honest work and it keeps a lot of families in this area going.
