Aman Rice Mills

Aman Rice Mills is situated on Budhalda Road in Village-Bareta. It's a straight shot out of town. We have a decent-sized plot here where we do all the milling and storage. The air always has that sweet, earthy smell of rice being processed. We have a small group of workers from the village who have been with us for a long time. We treat each other more like neighbors than employees. The equipment we use is pretty standard, nothing too modern, but we know how to fix it when it breaks. We don't spend much time on fancy talk or marketing. We just let the work speak for itself. If the rice is good, people come back. If it’s not, they don't. It’s a very simple way to do business. The winters here can get pretty cold in the open sheds, so we drink a lot of tea to stay warm. In the summer, it's the opposite, and we're all sweating by noon. We don't have a front office with air conditioning. We just stay out where the work is happening. The road outside can get dusty when the wind picks up, but we’re used to it. We just keep our heads down, manage the grain, and make sure everything is ready for the market. It’s a long day, but it’s good to be busy.
