Vidya Tuition Centre

Vidya Tuition Centre is located in Suba Bazar, Kunraghat. We are right in the middle of the local market area. It’s a very convenient spot for the families living around here. The space we have is quite modest. We have two main rooms where the teaching happens. The walls are mostly bare, except for a calendar and a clock that’s usually a few minutes fast. We’ve got rows of benches that are packed close together to make use of the space. During the summer, it gets pretty warm, so we keep the doors open to let some air in. You can hear the sounds of the market—people haggling, bells ringing from the cycles, and the occasional dog barking. It’s just the normal background noise for us. We don't have any fancy signs or neon lights. The students know us because we’ve been around for several years. We mostly focus on the school curriculum for the local schools. Every afternoon, the place fills up with kids in their uniforms. We don't have a lot of rules, just that everyone needs to be quiet when someone is explaining something on the board. We do our own bookkeeping in a big handwritten ledger. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. We are just a small part of the Suba Bazar community.
