Veganic Harvest Private Limited is over here at 253-F Upwan, in the Shakti Nagar Colony in Gorakhpur. The name sounds a bit fancy but it is just us trying to grow things better in this part of Uttar Pradesh. Most of my days are spent looking at the soil and checking on the seeds. It is not a big industrial setup with lots of machines. It is mostly manual labor and getting our hands dirty every day. Gorakhpur gets really hot in the summer and the office room gets stuffy, so we usually spend our time outside. People from the colony sometimes stop by to see what we are planting. We do not have any glossy brochures or big speeches to give. We just focus on the veganic side of farming and hope the weather stays good. The rain can be a real problem when it turns the yard into a muddy mess. My cousin helps out with the books when things get busy. It is a quiet life for the most part. We keep our heads down and do the work. It is much better than being stuck in a crowded city office. We have been at this address for a while now and we like the space we have. There are no big secrets here, just hard work in the dirt and the time it takes for things to grow.
