Our business is over at Mahua Par in the Pagar area of Gorakhpur. You can find us at Harihar Prasad Giri's place. We work with spices here. If you come by, you will notice the smell of ground pepper and turmeric right away. It gets into your clothes after a while. We are a small team and we do most of the work ourselves. We handle the grinding and the packing in the back. It is a bit dusty because of the spices, but that is just part of the job. We don't have any big corporate goals or fancy slogans. We just get the spice orders ready and send them out. Some days are slow and we sit around and talk. Other days we are running around trying to finish everything on time. We use simple machines and our hands for most things. The neighborhood is quiet for the most part, except for when the delivery trucks arrive. We have been in this spot for some time now. We know the local farmers and the people who buy from us. It is not a polished operation, but it works for us. We just try to stay honest and keep the work moving. It is a basic business run by regular people. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just show up and work here every day. It is simple and we like it that way.
