Shri Jan Classes

We are situated in Girdhar Ganj Bazar in the Kunraghat area. It’s a lively neighborhood with lots of small shops and houses all around. Our building is a simple concrete structure. We have a couple of rooms on the ground floor which makes it easy for everyone to get in and out. The floors are made of stone and they stay relatively cool even when it’s hot outside. We have basic wooden furniture and some old fans that rattle a bit when they are on high speed. The students usually arrive in groups after their school lets out. We don't have a big gate or a security guard; people just walk right in. Inside, it’s all about the books and the lessons. We have a small cupboard where we keep some extra textbooks and old registers. Sometimes we run out of chalk and have to send one of the older students to the store across the street. We don't have any flashy advertisements or big banners. Most of our students come because their older siblings or neighbors studied here before. We spend our evenings checking papers and talking to parents who stop by after work to see how their kids are doing. It’s a very grounded, local place. We don't try to be anything other than a neighborhood spot for extra help with studies.
