Swastik Travels

You can find us at Swastik Travels over in the Nagar Nigam Complex on Pipraich Road. We are directly opposite the Rapti Complex, so if you see that, you’ve basically found us. The address says opposite Rapti Complex twice, which I guess just means you really shouldn't miss it. The road outside is always a bit of a mess with traffic and people shouting, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We’ve been operating out of this shop for a long time. It’s not a very big space, just enough for a few desks and some chairs for people to sit on while we talk about their travel plans. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at bus and train routes on the computer. It gets quite warm in the afternoons when the sun hits the front of the complex. We usually have a small fan going that doesn't do much but we keep it anyway. People come to Swastik Travels because they know we are right here on the main road and easy to get to. We don't have any fancy brochures or big TV screens showing beaches; it’s mostly just us and our ledgers. Sometimes a customer will stay and chat for an hour about their old trips, and we don't mind. It makes the day go by faster. Pipraich Road is never quiet, so there is always something to look at out the window while we wait for the next person to walk in.
