MUKESH JI CONSTRUCTION INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED is our full name, though it’s a bit of a mouthful to say every time the phone rings. We are located at HNO -35 -A BUDH VIHAR PART-A in Gorakhpur. The office is right in front of the power house in Taramandal, so the hum of the electricity is something we hear all day long. It’s an OPC, which means I’m the main guy running things, though I have a few regular helpers who have been with me for years. Gorakhpur has changed a lot lately, and there is construction happening everywhere you look. My office is basically just the front room of the house, filled with samples of floor tiles and various types of plumbing fixtures. I’ve got an old wooden desk and a chair that squeaks whenever I move. I don't use any marketing agencies or fancy designers. I just talk to people who need things built. Most of my day is spent traveling between Budh Vihar and various sites around the city. The rain in Gorakhpur can be really heavy, often flooding the street outside, so we have to plan our work around the seasons. We don't make any big promises about being the best. We just do the work that comes our way and try to keep the costs reasonable for everyone. It is a simple way of doing business.
