Excellent Classes

Our classes are held in Barhalganj, which is a part of the Gorakhpur district. We are not a big school, just a place where students come for extra help with their studies. The rooms are basic with enough benches for everyone to sit. We use whiteboards and markers, and sometimes just talk through the problems. It is a busy place in the evenings when school lets out. The street outside is usually full of cycles and people walking. We do not have a big staff, just a few of us who know the subjects well. There is no fancy reception or waiting area. Parents usually stand outside or talk to us at the door. We focus on the textbooks and the exams the students have to take. It gets quite warm in the small rooms, so we keep the windows open. You can hear the sounds of the market nearby. It is an honest place where we just try to explain things better than they heard them the first time. We have been doing this in Barhalganj for a while now. There are no promises of miracles, just daily practice and going over the lessons until they stick. It is a simple setup for local kids who want to do better in their school exams. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every evening.
