It’s a busy area, so there’s always something going on outside our windows. Inside, though, we try to keep it quiet enough for the kids to focus on their math. We aren't a traditional school with a big campus. It’s more of a dedicated space for learning the abacus and mental arithmetic. The rooms are basic, with tables and chairs and not much else to distract the students. Our staff knows their way around the numbers and they spend their hours showing the kids how to move the beads. It’s not flashy work, but it’s consistent. We get a lot of foot traffic because of the location in the bazar. Parents often drop their kids off and then go do their shopping nearby. It works out well for everyone. We don't have a lot of fancy signs or big marketing displays. Most people find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a neighbor. We just show up every day, open the doors, and get to work with the students. It’s a straightforward operation here in Gondia, and we’re happy to be part of the local community.
