About Suraj Bricks – Building & Construction Material in Gondia
Suraj Bricks is located out in Ward No. 3 of Lohara Village. We are in the Deori Taluka, which is a part of the Gondia District. It is a very rural area where most people know each other. Around here, almost everything we do depends on what the weather is doing. If it rains too much, we cannot make any bricks and we have to wait for the ground to dry out completely. The kiln is the center of everything we do. We spend a lot of our time gathering wood and coal to keep the fire going at the right heat for days. In the village, news usually travels by word of mouth. We do not have a big sign or a fancy office for people to visit. It is just an open field with some simple sheds for the workers. Most of the people working here live nearby in the village. It is a slow pace of life but the actual work is quite hard on the body. Gondia gets very hot in the summer, and working near the fire makes it feel even worse. We just keep stacking the raw clay and burning the finished ones. When the bricks are done, they have that specific red color we look for. We load them onto tractors to go to the nearby farms.
