Nana Littles World Inter College

Nana Littles World Inter College is located at 6, Utraula Road in Gonda. The building has been around for a while and sits right on the edge of the road, so we get a lot of the dust and noise from the passing trucks. It is an inter college, so we have students of various ages coming in every day. The atmosphere is pretty old-fashioned, with heavy wooden doors and big registers for attendance. We don't have much in the way of modern decoration; the walls are mostly covered in old charts and student notices. In the mornings, the courtyard is full of kids before they head into their respective rooms. We spend a lot of our time just managing the day-to-day things, like making sure the chalk is stocked and the water tank is full. Gonda is a place where life moves at its own pace, and the school is much the same. There are times when the rain makes it hard for everyone to get here, but we usually manage to open up on time. The staff room is a place where we drink tea and talk about the upcoming exams. It is a lot of work to keep an inter college running smoothly, especially with all the government paperwork we have to fill out. We aren't doing anything flashy, just providing a place for the local kids to come and sit with their books every day.
