Being out here in Bongaon at House No. 182, things move at a certain pace. The Dist area can be quiet or loud depending on the trucks coming through Baduli Para. We deal with materials, mostly stuff for building or construction, and our yard is usually piled with stock. It’s a lot of manual work, checking lists and making sure the loading is done right. The office is just a small corner with a couple of chairs and a fan that squeaks a bit when it's on high. We spend most of our time outside or on the phone. The weather really dictates how the day goes. If it rains, everything slows down and we have to cover the bags quickly. People around here know the house number, so they just drop in when they need something for their projects. It isn’t a corporate setup with suits. We wear boots and clothes that we don't mind getting a bit of dirt on. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the roads, and we just have to explain that to whoever is waiting. It’s just how it goes in this part of the district. We’ve been at this spot for a while now and the neighbors are used to the noise of the machinery. We try to keep things organized but with so much inventory moving around, there’s always a bit of a mess somewhere. We just keep moving forward one day at a time, making sure the orders are filled and the trucks are out on time.
