Bluehill

You can find us over at Plot No. 15 on the 4th Cross in the KSSIDC Industrial Estate. It’s right in the heart of the Gokak industrial area, so there’s always noise and trucks moving around. Bluehill is basically just us working in a shop surrounded by other businesses doing the same thing. It’s not a pretty place, but it’s where the work gets done. We handle a lot of different tasks depending on what’s needed that day. The roof gets a bit hot in the summer and the floor is usually covered in some kind of dust or scrap. That’s just part of being in an industrial estate, I guess. We aren’t trying to be anything fancy. We just open up early, get the machines running, and try to stay on top of the schedule. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we spend half the day fixing it ourselves. It can be frustrating, but we’ve learned how to handle it over the years. We mostly deal with local folks and other businesses nearby. It’s a tight-knit community here in Gokak. Everyone knows who is doing what. If you walk down the 4th Cross, you’ll hear us before you see us. We don't have a big front office or anything like that. Just a desk tucked in the corner where we keep the invoices and the phone. It works for us. We've been in this spot for quite a while now and we know the neighbors.
