Naik Taders

Our place is located at Golden Bhat in Chindel. It is a quiet little corner near Panjim. We are right by the Hanuman Temple, which is where everyone usually stops to give us directions. If you find the temple, you’ve basically found us. We started Naik Taders as a small family thing. We handle various trading goods that people in the area need. It’s a lot of manual work, moving boxes and checking lists. Some days are slow and we just sit outside talking to the neighbors. Other days, trucks are coming in and it gets a bit chaotic. Chindel is a nice place to work because it’s not as loud as the middle of the city. We keep the shop open pretty regular hours. My cousin helps me with the books and the heavy lifting. We don’t use any complicated systems, just some notebooks and a phone that rings too much. The floor is concrete and we have some old shelves that have been here since we opened. We just try to keep things moving. Dealing with people from Panjim and the surrounding villages keeps us busy enough. It’s just an honest day’s work for us. We aren't trying to be anything big, just a local spot where people can get what they need without a fuss. The temple bells ring in the morning and that’s how we know it’s time to start our day and open up the doors for business.
