Ajinkya Screen Arts

Our shop, Ajinkya Screen Arts, is over at E-11 in Ganesh Puri. We’re in Mapusha, Goa, which is a nice place to be based. It’s not right on the beach or anything like that, but it’s got that local Goa feel that we really like. The shop is where all the screen printing and art stuff happens. It’s usually a bit of a mess with ink pots and frames everywhere, but we know where everything is when we need it. We don't have a fancy storefront or a lobby. Most of our neighbors are just regular folks living their lives in the Ganesh Puri area. We get a fair amount of sunlight in the mornings, which is good for seeing the colors correctly on the screens. Sometimes it gets a bit humid, and the ink takes longer to dry, but we’ve learned to be patient with the process. We aren't a big corporation. It’s just a small team of us who enjoy making things and getting the work done. We don't have a formal dress code or anything like that. We just wear what’s comfortable and get to work every day. Mapusha is a busy town, but our little corner in Ganesh Puri stays relatively calm. We take things as they come and try not to stress too much if a job takes an extra day. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, and that’s how we like to keep it.
