J. s. exports runs out of Sankar House in Punjabi Mohalla. It’s a familiar spot for anyone living around here. The building has been around for quite some time, and it has that old-school feel to it. Working in Punjabi Mohalla means there’s always something going on outside, whether it’s kids playing or someone moving goods down the street. We handle various exports from this office. It’s not a huge operation, but we stay busy enough with the daily tasks. Our rooms are filled with desks and a lot of paper. Sometimes the internet acts up, which can be a real pain when you're trying to send emails, but we manage. We aren’t big on fancy decorations or anything like that. The walls are mostly bare except for some calendars. It’s just a place where we come to work every morning at nine. The tea stall around the corner is where we usually grab a drink during the mid-day break. It’s nice being in a residential-style neighborhood because it feels more relaxed than being in a big commercial park. We know the people next door, and they know us. Most of what we do involves coordinating shipments and making sure the details are right. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication. Nothing too exciting, just the usual grind of moving products from one place to another. We don't have any big slogans or anything. We just keep our heads down and work.
