Aazad Ice

If you are driving down the Kodinar Bypass Road, you will see us near the Reliance Pump at Kalwa Chowk. It is a dusty area with a lot of trucks moving through all day and night. We mainly deal with ice here. It is a lot of heavy lifting and moving blocks around. The machinery makes a lot of noise, which you get used to after a while. Most people who stop by are drivers or workers who need to keep things cold for their trips. We don't have a big office or anything like that. It’s mostly just the loading area and the freezing units. The sun hits the asphalt pretty hard out here, so the ice is always in demand. We have to be careful about how we handle the blocks so they don't break or melt too fast before they get loaded up. The floor is almost always wet, which is expected in this kind of place. We start pretty early in the morning before the heat really kicks in. It is hard work and your hands stay cold for a long time even after you finish a shift. We don't do much marketing or anything. People just know we are here by the bypass. Sometimes we sit outside by the road when things are quiet and just watch the traffic. It is just a regular local business keeping things moving for the people on the road.
