Sant Sriram Sharma Acharya Convent School

Our school is out in Bhadaura, in the Ghazipur district. It is a bit of a drive from the main city, but that makes it a quieter place for the kids to study. We have a decent-sized building with several rooms for the different classes. It started because there weren't many schools in this specific area for the families living here. We don't have a big corporate office or a team of people running things. It’s just us, the teachers, and a few people who help with the cleaning and the gate. The kids come in early, and we start the day with a simple prayer and then get straight to the books. We focus on the regular subjects like math and science. The playground is mostly just a dirt field, but the children don't seem to mind when they are playing football or running around. Sometimes the rains make it hard to get to the school because the roads in Bhadaura can get pretty muddy. But we stay open as long as we can. We like being a part of this community. People know us by name, and we know most of the parents too. It’s a humble place, and we just try to do our bit every day without making a big fuss about it. We’ve been here for years and hope to stay. There is always a desk that needs fixing or a wall to paint.
