I've been sitting here at our spot in Rakesh Marg for quite a long time now. It is a bit of a mixed business we have got going on in Nehru Nagar. On one side you see the shelves filled with bags of flour, soaps, and those snacks the kids like, and then on the other side, I handle the property dealings. It is just how it started and we never really saw a reason to change it. Ghaziabad is always busy and noisy, especially around this part of 3, G-1. People come in for a kilo of sugar and end up asking about what houses are for rent nearby or if any plots are opening up in the newer blocks. We just try to keep things simple and honest. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cramped when the delivery guys bring in the new stock and someone is also trying to look at a map of a colony, but we manage. My family helps out too when things get hectic in the evenings. You will usually find me near the front desk or checking the inventory in the back. It’s not a fancy office or a high-end supermarket, just a practical place where we know most of the people walking through the door. We see the same faces every morning and that is what makes the work feel okay. The property market moves fast here, but the grocery side keeps us steady and grounded every day.
