Tara Hair Dresser

Down in Shastri Nagar, specifically at SD-4 in D Block, you’ll find Tara Hair Dresser. We are quite close to the Bagh Wali Colony area of Ghaziabad. It’s a quiet residential spot for the most part, except for when the kids are playing cricket outside. Our shop is pretty small, but it’s ours and we take care of it. We have three chairs and a big mirror that covers most of the back wall. We’ve been cutting hair here for a long time. People around here don't want anything too flashy or expensive, just a decent haircut and maybe a shave on Sunday mornings. We see a lot of fathers bringing their sons in for their first haircuts, which is always a bit of a mess with all the crying and squirming around. We use simple tools and keep everything as neat as we possibly can. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint by now, but we haven't found the time or the money to do it yet. Usually, there’s a local newspaper lying around for people to read while they wait their turn. We don’t take appointments or anything like that; you just walk in, say hello, and sit down. Sometimes we sit outside on the wooden bench when it’s slow and talk to the neighbors walking by the shop. Ghaziabad is a busy place, but this corner of Shastri Nagar feels like home to us. It’s just a simple life.
