Salim Hair Dresser

Salim Hair Dresser has been over here at Shop No-S-27 in Govindpuram for a good bit of time. We are situated near Pritam Farm House, which means we get a lot of action whenever there’s a big wedding or a function going on there. People come in rushing to look decent before they head over to the party. The shop itself is fairly small and humble. We have the basic tools of the trade, a few pairs of sharp scissors, some combs, and the spray bottles that always seem to leak a little bit on your hand when you use them. There’s a wooden bench outside where people sit when the three chairs inside are full. Ghaziabad summers are tough, so we rely on the overhead fan to keep things moving. We don't do anything too complicated here. It’s mostly just standard cuts and shaves for the working men around Govindpuram. We know most of our customers by name since they’ve been coming to us since they were young boys. It’s nice to see the families grow up. We keep the mirrors clean and the floor swept as much as we can between the daily rushes. It’s not a glamorous life but it’s honest work and we enjoy being part of the neighborhood here near the farm house where everyone knows each other.
