Tamanna Beauty Parlour

We are over here in Gali Number-12 in Pragati Vihar. It is a busy little spot in Khora Colony. Being near the CRPF camp means there is always someone passing by the shop. Ghaziabad gets really hot in the summer and the dust from the road comes inside no matter how much we sweep. It’s just how it is. We have a few chairs and some big mirrors that have been here since we started. People from the colony come in for their regular stuff like hair cuts or threading. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside and talk with the neighbors until it comes back. It isn't a fancy place with big lights or anything like that. We just do the work and try to keep things moving. Most of our customers are women who live nearby and just want to get their hair done without spending a lot of time or money. We see kids coming in with their mothers too. The shop isn't huge but it fits enough people. On weekends it gets a bit crowded and everyone has to wait their turn. We don't really have a big staff, just a couple of us working through the day. Sometimes we share tea while waiting for the next person to walk through the door. It’s a simple life here in Ghaziabad and we’ve gotten used to the noise from the street. That’s pretty much us.
