Sona Roopa Beauty Parlour

The parlor is in Vaishali Sector 4, at number 108. It is a residential part of the area, so it’s mostly quiet during the day except for the occasional car or someone selling vegetables on the street. We have a small sign outside. Inside, it’s just a couple of rooms set up for hair and skin work. We have some curtains for privacy and a few mirrors with lights around them. The chairs are comfortable because people sometimes have to sit there for an hour while their hair gets done. I keep a stack of old fashion magazines for the ladies to read while they wait. It’s a very local place. Most of the women who come here live just a few houses away or in the next block over. We talk about the kids, the local market, and whatever is on TV. It doesn’t feel like a big business; it’s more like a place to sit and chat for a bit. The smell of rose water and hair spray is always there. I try to keep everything tidy, but sometimes there are cotton balls or hair clips left out when we get busy. In the evenings, the light in the sector gets a bit dim, but our windows stay bright until we close up for the night. It is a simple setup that works for the neighborhood. No big bells or whistles here, just a normal parlor where everyone knows everyone else.
