Shri Shubh General Store

Our shop is located at 84/65 on Get Road which is right near the Anwarganj Railway Station. Because of the station road the area is always buzzing with people carrying heavy bags and rushing to catch their trains. It is a very busy spot in Kanpur. The noise of the trains can be heard clearly from inside the store throughout the day. We get a lot of travelers who realize they forgot something important at the last minute like a lock or some snacks for the journey. The address is easy to find if you are heading towards the station. The building is old and the stairs nearby are worn down from years of use. Inside the store it is a bit dark but we have enough lights to see the products on the shelves. We don't spend much on decorations or fancy displays. It’s more about having what people need right when they need it. Running a business near a railway station means you never really have a quiet moment. Even on Sundays the crowd doesn't seem to thin out much. We take turns sitting at the desk because it gets tiring standing all day. The tea stall next door is where we get our morning chai. It’s a tough life in a way but seeing the constant movement of the city keeps things interesting for us behind the counter.
