Sataynarayan Gents Parlour

If you are looking for us, we are in Vandana Enclave, which is part of Khora Colony in Ghaziabad. We are quite close to Rawat Vihar. Sataynarayan Gents Parlour has been at this address for a long time. It is a basic place for men to get a shave or a haircut. We don't have any of those fancy reclining chairs or expensive shampoos. We use what works. The shop has two big mirrors and some old pictures of movie stars on the walls to show different hair styles, though most people just ask for the same short cut every time. Khora Colony is a crowded area, so there is always a lot of noise from the street. We have a small radio that we keep on most of the day to drown out the traffic. On Sundays, it gets really packed, and people have to wait outside on the steps. We don't take appointments over the phone or anything. You just come by and see if a chair is free. Most of our customers are laborers or office workers who live nearby. They like that we don't charge much and we talk to them like friends. It is a simple life running a parlour in Ghaziabad. We don't have big dreams of becoming a chain, we just want to keep the shop going and help the local people.
