Satander Hair Dresser

Satander Hair Dresser is found in the Shiv Nagar area of Lal Kuan in Ghaziabad. It is a basic neighborhood shop that serves the people living around here. The road outside is often dusty and crowded with trucks and bikes passing through. We have a very simple setup inside with two or three chairs and some big mirrors that cover the main wall. The counter is usually a bit cluttered with combs, scissors, and different spray bottles. We don’t have air conditioning, so we rely on a large pedestal fan that stays on all day long to keep the air moving. The walls are a bit plain, maybe with a few old calendars or a clock that is a few minutes fast. People just walk in from the street when they need something done. There is usually someone sitting on the bench outside the door talking to people passing by. It is the kind of place where everyone knows each other. We spend our time working and keeping the floor swept, though the dust from the street makes it hard to keep things perfectly clean. It is a long day from when we open the shutters in the morning until we close late at night. There isn't anything fancy about the shop, it's just a place to get work done. We have been in this same spot in Lal Kuan for many years now.
